Surc is an easy-to-use universal learning remote control (URC) that provides users with anytime, anywhere control from their iPhone over most InfraRed (IR)-enabled electronic devices and appliances, from televisions to lighting and home theaters.
How it works
Surc combines an IR connector and a free companion mobile app – downloadable from iTunes App Store – to turn any iPhone 4, 3GS or 3G into a true URC, regardless of user location. Surc uses the latest Apple-approved chip technology and is part of the Apple Made for iPod/iPhone program and will soon be compatible with iPad and iPod Touch 3rd generation. Surc doesn’t require WiFi or multiple receivers. Additionally, the built-in Micro USB connection and cable allows users to charge and sync their iPhone without removing Surc’s sleek case. Finally, Surc’s extensive database makes programming remotes quick and simple.
A highly customizable mobile lifestyle experience
Surc lets users personalize their remote control from the buttons, to the layout and look and feel, allowing users to create their very own mobile lifestyle experience. With Surc’s customizable features, users can use the iPhone’s motion sensing capability combined with Surc’s IR capabilities to assign each button with a customized gesture. Users can also control what they watch on their television through the Surc built-in TV Program Guide.
