Remote control specialists, One For All, have redefined the concept in their new “Xsight”. Offering a ground-breaking range of user-friendly features and functions: touchscreen, full-colour display, touch-slide navigation, control for 18 devices, favourites complete with channel logos, profiles, macros, activities and the legendary One For All learning function – the list of functions goes on and on. But despite this wealth of special features, the “Xsight”. can be set up in moments with no need for bulky instruction manuals! One For All has designed a revolutionary set-up system enabling anyone to start using the remote control straight after unpacking – an exciting new “out-of-the-box” experience. As a further new feature, the “Xsight”. can be all things to all people – its Web-based PC application “EZRC” enables personal profiles to be created for each member of the household, including channel preferences, user interface personalization and much more. The “Xsight”. range, comprising the models “Colour” and “Touch”, is a further impressive demonstration by One For All of the company’s powerful innovative drive in the field of universal remote control units.

Outstandingly user-friendly, outstandingly functional: the “Xsight”. unique set-up enables users to choose their installation preference. Users eager to start straight away are guided through the set-up procedure in only five steps – no need for an instruction manual. Assisted by the clearly structured intuitive menu and 2.2’’ colour display, the installation process is simple and straightforward: select language, setvtime, select device type (TV, receiver etc.), select brand, and confirm. These steps are then repeated for all further AV devices required. One For All’s basic installation offers five languages (English, German, French, Spanish and Italian). For each region selected, the “Xsight”. filters the top 24 local AV brands to simplify set-up still further.

The remote with character
For users who want to explore everything the “Xsight” has to offer, One For All has designed the Web application “EZRC“, supplied on CD-ROM with the units. The driver is installed on the user’s PC, while the application itself is browser-controlled. Users create a personal account to begin set-up. The application accepts any devices already installed using the remote control’s integrated installation procedure, and enables new devices to be added. But there’s much more on offer – with an array of functions including Favorites, Profiles and Activities, the “Xsight”is everyone’s personal all-round companion.

Favorites
Favorites is a macro-function enabling users to set their favorite channels based on their country setting. The favorites are shown in the display as full-color graphic buttons complete with channel logo. Up to 72 channels can be stored in this way for direct selection.



Profiles
The “Xsight” can assign the stored preferences to specific profiles for each family member or each type of program such as sport, movies or music. Up to six profiles can be created.

Activities
The Activities button enables users to customize the Xsight” in line with their personal viewing or listening habits. To watch a DVD, for example, a number of individual actions must be performed, from selecting channel “AV 1“ on the TV and “DVD Input” on the home cinema system to switching on the DVD player and pressing “Play“. “EZRC” can store the entire process as, say, “Watch Movie“. In future, the sequence of steps is automatically carried out with a single touch of the button. “Xsight” can store up to twelve activities of this kind.

The Favourites, Profiles and Activities functions can also be combined. Here’s a possible scenario: in Movie mode, the sound is played over the surround system, while in the “Kids“ profile only the TV’s own speakers are activated. “EZRC“ also enables new functions to be assigned to keys and softkeys in the display, complete with personalized names and icons. With this wealth of possibilities “Xsight” is the ultimate entertainment control centre for your living-room and your home.

The Xsight is available in two models. The Xsight Touch and the Xsight Color.
